Tryout Schedule

 
 
EMFC Player Evaluations.
Players are expected to arrive at least 15-20 minutes in advance of the session start time.
For health and safety reasons, all players must wear shin-pads during sessions.
Indoor running shoes must be worn for indoor sessions (no cleats)
 
 
Changes to the CMSA League Format
 For the Outdoor 2014 season, there will be no longer be a “seeding” round.   To help ensure that players and teams are properly placed in the correct divisions, CMSA teams will now play a series of “Pre-Season” games.  These exhibition games will be played between April 26 and May 15.  
 
PRE-Season Teams:
At the completion of the preseason round, individual players and/or entire teams may be moved either up or down at the discretion of the EMFC Technical Director, as a result of performance. 
Team rosters for the season will be finalized following the preseason round.
 
 
Team Formation:
It should be recognized that the club is adopting a policy to encourage single year age team’s, especially within those teams placed at the higher levels of competition.
The rationale for this policy is to ensure consistency within any particular squad – in relation to the registered player’s, parental support and coach relations.
This should not implicate that teams will be pre-formed and established, as new members will be encouraged to try-out for all teams that correspond with their age group.
 
The purpose of implementing pre-season player evaluations is twofold:

• To identify and allocate players to the appropriate team (based on age, gender, technical performance and personal considerations).
• to ensure the team is placed within an appropriate age and tier placement within Calgary Minor Soccer Leagues (indoor and outdoor season).
