New Information coming soon!

As a result of the strategic alliance between International Eastside Soccer Club (1991) and the Memorial FC soccer club that took place in the summer of 2013, our office and storage space was not adequate. To better meet the needs of our organization EMFC has recently opened a new office facility in a warehouse complex located at #9, 820-28 Street NE.

We have leased a space approximately 4800 sq ft;  of which 600 sq ft will be used for administration; 1000 sq ft will be used for fitness and strength training; and 3000 sq ft will be constructed as an indoor, year-round instructional area that can be used to introduce soccer to children aged 3 – 10, through educational sessions that are designed for the children to be active through play

Play allows youth of all ages to try new things, test boundaries and use their imaginations. In addition to the physical health benefits, active play offers cognitive, emotional and social development benefits. It has been shown to improve and foster motor function, creativity, decision-making, problem-solving and social skills, the ability to control emotions and preschoolers’ speech.

Increasing physical activity has many benefits.  Science has shown that when children increase their daily physical activity, they decrease their chances of developing many diseases such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes and are generally healthier and happier.

Sport is inclusive; it should remain physically, economically and socially accessible to all. It brings people from different backgrounds together in a positive way and it is an effective way for newcomers to integrate into a community.  In addition, having more fields and facilities directly allows for more people, of all ages, having the opportunity to play, practice and enjoy the sport of soccer and other field sports.  Participation in community sport helps promote and develop life-long healthy habits

Our organization will be able to provide the opportunity to include over 750 new participants annually, in new programs that will be offered within the facility.
The completion of this project will also aid in the long-term economic growth and sustainability of the Club.  It will also provide new employment opportunities for young members of the local community.
