Soccability - What is it ?

SOCCABILITY - Adaptive Soccer for ALL

Soccability is our all-abilities program that provides inclusive and adaptive programming for players with an impairment.

The program is proud to support the players needs whether physical or neuro-diverse. Whether your child has physical disabilities, autism, ADHD, FASD, sensory differences, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or other support needs, Soccability provides a welcoming place to experience soccer in a positive and encouraging environment and offers fun based activities to enhance physical literacy

This program offers a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for young athletes who may not feel comfortable in traditional soccer settings.  Our curriculum is built on the Canada Soccer Learn to Play model.

The goal: spark joy, build confidence, and introduce soccer fundamentals in a way that meets each child where they’re at to ensure they are supported in a fun yet challenging environment.

Join us and discover the confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories that come from being part of the beautiful game.

Accessible soccer means removing barriers so that everyone has the opportunity to participate, regardless of ability. At Eastside Memorial FC, we believe every child deserves the chance to play, learn, belong, and thrive.  Every player is valued. Every success is celebrated. Every child belongs.

Our commitment is simple:    Safe. Fun. Inclusive. Challenging.

PROGRAM BENEFITS:

The 9-week curriculum focuses upon the development of physical literacy and soccer based technique. Every session incorporates fun activities and games to encourage social interaction and self-advocacy.

The pillars of Soccability are to provide a safe, fun, inclusive, and challenging environment, where every player is valued, and social bonds encouraged.

The program operates on a minimum 1:6 coach player ratio.

If a player requires more individual 1:1 support, this should be notified and supported by a guardian or support aid. Parents, siblings and buddies are invited to join us on the field where needed.

Our program is designed to help players:

  • Develop physical literacy and movement skills
  • Learn soccer techniques in a fun, pressure-free environment
  • Improve confidence and independence
  • Build communication and social skills
  • Encourage self-advocacy and teamwork
  • Experience the joy of being active with friends
