By combining our resources, we aim to create the most positive and competitive soccer environment available to these players in Calgary today.  Both clubs will continue normal operations as separate entities during the 2019/20 Indoor season but, in addition, will assist and support each other with the above-mentioned groups.
This exciting collaboration will be initially administered as a pilot program and will be overseen and evaluated by a committee of equal representation from each club. Our goal is to make this the first step in a long-term partnership that will ultimately enhance player development for both clubs and provide the best possible program options for all players.
Our clubs share similar player-first philosophies and ethical standards; and both have strong reputations for producing the most talented and well-trained players in Calgary.  We feel that the clubs’ strengths are complimentary and that this partnership will enhance the quality of both programs by bringing together a larger pool of some of the cities most talented players with top quality training staff and coaches.
The Technical program:
The tactical training session will be run by Ruben Vasquez Ex Professional player (Concacaf) and National B licence coach, technical training will be run by UEFA Pro Munib Koric. The purpose of the tactical and technical sessions are to provide a philosophy on how we want the teams to play and bring a stronger sense of our club DNA onto the pitch, technical staff and coaching staff from both clubs help will support this process.
Key Information regarding the merged teams and those teams not currently affected:
  • Players involved in the combined teams will register for the club for whom they played the recent outdoor season.
  • Players not currently registered with EMFC or CVFC, who wish to join the combined teams, can contact either Ruben Vasquez or Calvin Campbell directly for registration information.
  • Teams not involved in the current combined initiative will continue to operate as normal within their respective clubs.
With this partnership comes the need to communicate important and concise information to our families. Please pay attention to the clubs’ websites and social media platforms in order to stay updated on any further developments. EMFC and CVFC will also both be providing more detail to the members affected by this collaboration in a “next steps” communication email.
Together, we are looking forward to an incredible season. For more details on this exciting initiative please contact:
