Our Team
Technical Director John Clubb
Eastside Memorial Football Club Technical Team is a dedicated group of coaches with a great love for the game.
Each member of the team brings something special to the club. The Tech Team is comprised of local experts having grown and played within Calgary. Some have gone to pursue international experience, coming back to the city in order to develop our local talent so that they too can pursue their dreams.

John brings a wealth of coaching experience and education to the position of Technical Director at EMFC. Having established links with Eastside as far back as 2010, John has more recently been leading the Soccability Program for EMFC.
John holds his Canadian A License in soccer, UEFA B License and is a Learning Facilitator for coaches in Alberta. His education background is through Sport Science within disability sport, Business Sport and Recreation and a Masters degree in Applied Sport Psychology.
His coaching journey has taken him through leadership roles with Macclesfield Town and Middlesbrough Football Club’s in his native England and as Manager of Grassroots Development at Alberta Soccer. His passion within soccer development is the development of program curriculums and coach development. Then his vision is to embrace the community and open doors for anyone looking for a place to play and enjoy soccer in NE Calgary.
