Eastside Memorial FC offers two scholarships to its membership; The Margaret MacLeod Scholarship and the Rob Strachan Scholarship.  These awards will be presented annually to up to two current or past members (Player, Coach or Manager) who are furthering their education in a Post-Secondary Institution.

The Margaret MacLeod Scholarship Award

Margaret has been a volunteer within our organization for over 25 years; she began with the club with her own children Steve & Joanna and also saw her grandchildren compete on our teams as well. As recognition of Margaret's dedication and her contribution to the Eastside Memorial Football Club, the creation of this Scholarship Award is the membership's way of saying thank you.

In March of 2008, Margaret informed the club of her wanting to leave her post as our casino chairperson, to pursue some different interests.   Although her regular contribution will be greatly missed, she will be long be remembered for her many years of volunteering with us in a variety of board positions.

The Rob Strachan Scholarship Award

Rob Strachan was a volunteer within the Eastside/Memorial organization for more than 20 years.  He acted as both a coach and a board member.   Often times he would volunteer into any position needed, always there when a team needed a coach for a season.  Rob's commitment to the club and contributions will be remembered.
