Welcome to Eastside Memorial Football Club

We are a non-profit soccer club based in Northeast Calgary, registered with the Alberta Societies Act. We believe that Soccer is a Game for Life, offering programs for kids as old as 3 all the way up to Over 45 years young. 
Our mission statement is to be able to offer opportunities for our members to learn, develop and enjoy the sport of soccer.

The exciting news was announced by Canada Soccer.....

EMFC has been awarded the highest standard of youth development soccer, a National Youth Club license. The Canada National Youth Club license represents the highest amateur youth club designation in the Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program, recognizing the highest-achieving organizations from across Canada.  Currently, EMFC is the only NE-based Club awarded with this license and will have the ability to play in the Alberta Youth High-Performance League.

The primary goals of the CSA Licensing program are to:
1. Set clearly defined standards and expectations for member organizations;
2.  Recognize excellence in the soccer community;
3.  Raise the level of all soccer organizations throughout Canada; and,
4.  Drive change in the soccer system.

This program is designed to raise soccer standards across the country, improve the soccer system, and guide organizations toward the best principles of development both on and off the field.
Canada Soccer wants to improve the caliber of soccer in Canada. Standards and credentials will result in better players and better coaching environments.

The AYSL program will allow EMFC players an additional pathway to advance to the next levels of the game -college/university, professional teams, and youth/senior national teams. The AYSL will be commencing in 2022 with the 2007 Boys and Girls teams.

EMFC would like to send our appreciation and thanks, especially to our parents, coaches, executive, and associations such as CMSA, ASA, and CSA for all their determination, encouragement, and support throughout this process and as we move forward in the growth of EMFC and the AYSL program.

Established in 1978, our club has grown over the years, changing with the needs of our membership. 
More recently, International Eastside Soccer Club (IESC) had merged with the Memorial Football club in 2013 forming into Eastside Memorial Football Club (EMFC) in order to be more accessible and meet the needs of our growing membership. 

We pride ourselves on providing affordable programs to the diverse community that makes up Northeast Calgary. 
We are run and operated by volunteers and without volunteers, we do not run.
