Registration Fees Explained (Indoor 2014)
Eastside Memorial FC is a non-profit organization. Prior to each season our Financial Committee meet to undertake the task of trying to find a balance between the practice and training time required to develop young athletes and affordability.
The Club is always looking for constructive input to the budget process. Did you know that over 20 % of our members receive funding support towards their registration fees, and that EMFC has the largest number of Kidsport participants of any organization in Calgary, in any sport.
Our two largest expenses are for CMSA League fees (30% / 34%) and gym facilities for weekly practices and technical sessions (42% / 34%).
CMSA team fees are approximately $ 2800.00 pe rteam (for scheduling, field rentals and referees) and our average gymnasium rental cost is approximately $ 48.00 per hour (YES - we have to pay for each and every school gym rental)
Below is a breakdown of what your registration fees are:
At the U12 – U16 levels our base fee includes 6 hours of shared (two teams at once) technical development for teams in Tier 4 and below. This is in addition to their weekly coach lead practice.
Our Tier 3 teams will receive 1 technical session per week - about 17 sessions in total; in addition to their coach lead practice – about 17 sessions. These teams will also be scheduled for a coach lead fitness session every second week.
Our teams in Tier 1 and Tier 2 will be receiving 3 technical sessions every 2 weeks – about 27 sessions; a coach lead fitness session every second week; in addition to their weekly coach lead practice – about 17 sessions.
The balance of the fixed costs remain consistent for all three programs including a variety of categories including: goalie training; coach development; uniforms; shorts and socks; team equipment and first aid supplies; tournament entry fee, bank fees, office rental and utilities; administration wages (15 hours per week); and GST.
